If a nebulizer to help an adult with tonsillitis?
I have really bad tonsillitis. Up to the point where my tonsils touching in the middle of my throat and breathing becomes difficult at the time. I am on keflex 800mg and ibuprofen. It is not going to help. I have tried almost everything. My son has a nebulizer. Could help you. Would breathe in steam from boiling water on the stove help? I’m desperate for some relief Best Answer (s):.

I would not use the nebulizer for two reasons. At first it was not prescribed for you, and you can to the drug [not a proper dosage for you anyway] and second to react, it is not going to help. A nebulizer is for the lungs and bronchial passage. At this point you should see your doctor. I would plain old tylenol for a while and try sucking on ice chips and a cold pack on your neck.

Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen (Tylenol)? The steam might help a little, but if you are having difficulty breathing, the doctor should be informed and possibly some medication to prescribe to take the swelling down a bit. Probably corticosteroidls
