normally when you click on Lipitor (cholesterol or any other medicine) you start to stay there, if your diet and exercise to get your cholesterol back down. the only serious long-term side effect is rhabdomyalgia, which is basically muscle breakdown, which goes to the liver and damages the liver. You should do routine liver function tests every 6-12 months while on Lipitor, the cholesterol check. rhabdomyalgia is reversible if you catch it soon, and it’s easy to know when you get it. when you start to sever muscle pain all over my body, which is inexplicable, or your urine to (like the color of Coke) turn a darker color, then taking Lipitor and call your doctor. the chance of this happening is <1% of people taking Lipitor.
