Is my birth control safe while on fear and I’m depressants?
I’ve just started the anti-anxiety and anti-depressants for my anxiety (lorazepam and paroxetine, to be exact). I am also on birth control and my fiance to see me next month and chances are we to go ….. You know. I had called my doctor and he “thought” my BC would still be safe (as opposed to antibiotics when I was), but does anyone here know if my BC is still definitely safe or should we use secondary precautions? I do not know myself. But if your doctor only “thinks” you will be safe, I would get a second opinion, and definitely use secondary precautions

If prescription contraceptive prescription antidepressent nd then ur doc already knows that you have them both. when its a shame that he / she would’ve said something., if not, always ask him / her.

I’ve never heard of BC brass with anti-anxiety medications., but I know if you are on medications AA and get the depo shot … they do not mix. Hopefully you are only BC pills. Depo makes you 100X more moody and depressed., your doctor should not rely on you if he knew you were on AA drugs. Good luck
