Which is better for COPD patients, albuterol inhaler or Combivent inhaler?
I have the disease, COPD and use an inhaler called Combivent. I used a friend with the same disease, the albuterol. His Dr. says Albuterol is best, my Dr. say is the best combivent. Who is right? Need expert opinions please Best Answer (s):

I have asthma and I have used both. Combivent I think is the best and the reason is … Albuterol it has in it as well as another drug to stimulate breathing. So it should be better because it’s not only albuterol, but another medicine. Albuterol is good but not as good as combivent.

I have COPD and I do not use it. The reason why I do not know AlbuTrol in the nebulizer treatment, I use 3 times a day. Everyone reacts differently to different COPD medications. None of us are the same. I’ve included a couple of support groups, and no one has the same story. If you are on oxygen and you are at level 2, someone else on the first setting It all depends on how bad you are, and many other things.

Each patient reacts differently to each medication. Combivent or inhalers ipratropium must ensure that they do not over a peanut allergy before they take it. I personally think, Maxair or pirbuterol works best. I’ve used them all. Combivent provoked my asthma and I have peanut allergies.
